The Common Misconception of International Outsourcing Essay

Among the American society there is a controversy over the rising popularity of corporations internationally outsourcing American jobs. You may be asking yourself what is international outsourcing? It can be defined as a strategy corporations use to send jobs within their company overseas. These jobs originated in the corporations’ country prior to being outsourced to other countries. The reason for such actions can many times be attributed to the cheaper labor or for strategic business reasons. Over the past fifteen or twenty or so years, international outsourcing has become popular among many corporations. International outsourcing is beneficial for our economy and the job market for three main reasons. As time goes on other nations increase their pay to workers, as is the case here in America (Davis and Wessel 220). It is important for the world to come together and diminish the current large gap between America and other nations. This will prove to be not only beneficial for Americans, but it will also benefit other countries as well. As many people know, America is unique from many other countries in several different ways. Also, it is known around the globe that the United States is the land of the free, and full of opportunity. But unfortunately, many other countries are different from America in the sense that success is much harder to come by and there is far less opportunity to succeed.
